Getting started

Sign in, learn the workspace, refresh data, export reports, and set your preferences.

Signing In

Open Rev Tracker in your browser. If you are not already signed in, the app shows a sign-in page.

Use your company Microsoft account. After sign-in, the app opens to Home.

User Roles

Your account controls what you can see and change.

Role What you can do
Standard user Open Home and Revenue Forecast and use the details available to authenticated users.
Project manager Open Project Management in addition to the standard areas.
Administrator Maintain forecast and tenant settings and use eligible ConnectWise writebacks.
Named feature user Open one or more separately approved workspaces such as Pipeline, Sales Dashboard, Collections, Commissions, Scorecards, or Service Delivery.

Feature access is intentionally separate. An administrator does not automatically receive compensation or employee-scorecard access. If a workspace is missing, ask its business owner to confirm the approved access list and your Microsoft account mapping.

The left navigation contains only the workspaces your account can use:

  • Company logo and app title.
  • Home: launch surface for your available workspaces.
  • Revenue Forecast: monthly pods, revenue detail, and forecasting work queue.
  • Project Management: project delivery and exposure for project managers and admins.
  • Pipeline: forward-looking sales pipeline for approved sales users.
  • Sales Dashboard: signed revenue, quotas, and Net New MRR for approved users.
  • Collections: A/R aging and follow-up workflow for approved users.
  • Commissions: restricted compensation ledger for explicitly approved users.
  • Scorecards: employee scorecards and manager workspaces within your assigned scope.
  • Settings: admin-only tenant configuration.

The header provides theme, contextual How it works, data refresh, presence, and the user/sign-out menu where applicable.

Refreshing Data

Use Refresh Data when:

  • A project was just updated.
  • A product delivery date was corrected.
  • Forecast values were changed.
  • You want to make sure you are looking at the latest available data.

The button may show Syncing... while the refresh is running.

Opening Details

Most important numbers in Rev Tracker are clickable.

Common click paths:

  • Click a revenue pod to inspect one month.
  • Click the Product Snapshot to inspect product exposure.
  • Click the Labor Snapshot to inspect labor exposure.
  • Click a project row to open Project Details.
  • Click a chart bar to see the month behind the bar.
  • Click an age segment to see projects in that age group.

Searching, Sorting, and Filtering

Search boxes usually match project name, client name, manager name, or project number.

Tables with sortable headers change sort order when you click a column header. Click the same header again to reverse the order.

Exports usually use the currently visible or filtered rows. Clear filters before exporting a full list.

Closing Modals

Most detail windows can be closed with:

  • The X button.
  • The Close button.
  • Sometimes by choosing a different action that opens another detail view.

Signing Out

Open the user menu in the top-right area and choose Sign out.
