Admin tasks

Manage goals, overrides, tenant settings, branding, and forecast-driving fields.

Admins can update forecast inputs and tenant settings that regular users cannot change.

Use admin access carefully. Admin changes can affect revenue forecasts and, for selected workflows, write values back to ConnectWise.

Admin-Only Areas

Admins can access:

  • Settings tab.
  • Revenue goal edits.
  • MRR mode selection.
  • Manual forecast edits.
  • Manual MRR edits.
  • Product delivery writebacks.
  • Fixed-fee phase writebacks.
  • MRR phase writebacks.

Revenue Goals

Revenue goals appear in monthly revenue pods.

To update a goal:

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Find the month pod.
  3. Click the edit icon near the goal.
  4. Enter the new goal.
  5. Save.
  6. Confirm the pod updates.

Use monthly goals when a specific month needs a different target than the default goal.

Manual Forecasts

Manual forecasts help fill future values that are not yet represented in source data.

Editable future categories can include:

  • Non-Project HW/SW.
  • On-Demand.

To update a manual forecast:

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Find the future month pod.
  3. Click the edit icon for the category.
  4. Enter the forecast amount.
  5. Save.
  6. Refresh data.

MRR Mode

MRR mode controls how recurring revenue buckets are calculated.

Options:

  • CW Type: use ConnectWise type-based classification.
  • CW Prefix: use configured product or agreement prefixes.
  • Manual: use manually entered monthly MRR values.

To change MRR mode:

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Find the MRR selector in Revenue Summary.
  3. Choose the desired mode.
  4. Wait for the app to finish switching.
  5. Review the updated month pods.

Only change this when you understand how the business wants MRR categorized.

Manual MRR

Manual MRR is available when MRR mode is Manual.

Manual buckets:

  • MSP.
  • Private Cloud.
  • Public Cloud.

To update manual MRR:

  1. Set MRR mode to Manual.
  2. Find the month pod.
  3. Click the edit icon for the MRR bucket.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Save.
  6. Refresh data and review totals.

Tenant Settings

Open Settings to manage tenant-level app configuration.

Main sections:

  • Branding.
  • Defaults.
  • MRR Prefixes.
  • Custom Fields.
  • Company Rules.
  • CORS Origins.

Use Reload to discard unsaved local edits and reload the current saved settings.

Use Save Configuration to persist changes.

Branding

Branding controls:

  • App title.
  • Company name.
  • Company tagline.
  • Logo paths.
  • Primary colors.
  • Color palette.

Logo image selection previews the image and suggests a path. It does not upload the image into the app by itself. Make sure the image is available where the path says it is.

Defaults

Defaults control baseline values for:

  • Annual revenue goal.
  • Default MRR mode.

Runtime values edited from the Dashboard can override these defaults after the app is running.

MRR Prefixes

MRR prefixes are used when MRR mode is CW Prefix.

Manage prefixes for:

  • MSP.
  • Private Cloud.
  • Public Cloud.

Keep prefixes specific enough to avoid putting revenue into the wrong bucket.

Custom Fields

Custom field settings tell Rev Tracker which ConnectWise fields to read for forecasting.

Manage:

  • MRR estimate range field.
  • MRR start date caption.
  • MRR captions for MSP, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud.
  • Fixed-fee labor streams.
  • Amount captions.
  • Date captions.

Coordinate custom field changes with whoever manages ConnectWise. A caption mismatch can cause forecast data to disappear or land in the wrong place.

Company Rules

Company rules control special handling such as self-company filtering and special WIP companies.

Use these settings when the tenant's own company or special billing cases need forecast-specific treatment.

Product Writebacks

Admins can update product forecast fields from Product Exposure Drilldown.

Editable items:

  • Delivered state.
  • Confirmed delivery date.
  • Estimated delivery date.

After saving, refresh data and confirm revenue moved to the expected month.

Fixed-Fee Phase Writebacks

Admins can update fixed-fee phase forecast fields from FF Phase Drilldown.

Editable items:

  • Pro Services amount and date.
  • Managed Security amount and date.
  • Managed App amount and date.

Use the copy-date control when the same date should apply across streams.

MRR Phase Writebacks

Admins can update MRR phase fields from MRR Phase Breakdown.

Editable items:

  • MSP MRR.
  • Private Cloud MRR.
  • Public Cloud MRR.
  • MRR start date.

After saving, refresh data and review Project MRR Drilldown.
