Revenue and projects
Revenue dashboard
Read revenue snapshots, goals, monthly drilldowns, and the Needs Forecasting list.
The Dashboard is the main revenue view. Use it to see expected revenue, spot missing forecast inputs, and drill into the details behind each month.
Top Export Button
Use Export to open a revenue summary report in a new browser tab.
Use this report for:
- Revenue review meetings.
- Month-end forecast reviews.
- Sharing a snapshot of current revenue expectations.
- Reviewing at-risk or notable projects.
Snapshot Cards
The top cards summarize the visible month window.
| Card | What it means | What happens when you click |
|---|---|---|
| Product Snapshot | Expected product revenue by month. | Opens Product Exposure Drilldown. |
| Labor Snapshot | Expected labor revenue by month, including labor-related streams. | Opens Labor Exposure Drilldown. |
| MRR - MSP | Recurring MSP revenue. | Use monthly pods or MRR chart for detail. |
| MRR - Private Cloud | Recurring private cloud revenue. | Use monthly pods or MRR chart for detail. |

Needs Forecasting
The Needs Forecasting panel is the app's work queue for missing forecast information.
A project appears here when it has one or more missing items:
- Product needs a delivery date.
- Fixed-fee labor needs a date.
- Fixed-fee labor needs an amount.
- MRR needs a start date.
Click a project in this list to open Project Details. From there, admins can open the relevant editing workflow.
Revenue Summary
Revenue Summary shows month cards, also called pods. Each pod summarizes expected revenue for one month and compares it to the revenue goal.
Use the month pods to answer:
- Are we above or below goal?
- Which categories are driving the month?
- Which categories are placeholders?
- What details make up the month total?
Click a pod to open Forecast Detail for that month.
Moving Between Months
Use the left and right arrows in Revenue Summary to move through loaded months.
- Left arrow: move to earlier months.
- Right arrow: move forward.
Historical months may show locked snapshot indicators in charts. A locked month means the app is showing stored historical values rather than recalculating everything from live project data.
View Style
Use Switch to Modern View or Switch to Classic View to change the pod layout.
This only changes presentation. It does not change revenue calculations.
Admin Revenue Edits
Admins may see edit controls in the Revenue Summary pods.
Admin-editable values can include:
- Monthly revenue goal.
- Future Non-Project HW/SW forecast.
- Future On-Demand forecast.
- Manual MRR values when the app is in manual MRR mode.
If you do not see edit controls, your account is not an admin account.
New Project MRR Chart
The New Project MRR chart shows new project-sourced recurring revenue by month.
The chart separates:
- MSP.
- Private Cloud.
- Public Cloud.
Click a month bar to open Project MRR Drilldown. Use that drilldown to see which projects contribute to the selected month.
Forecast Detail Window
Forecast Detail opens when you click a revenue pod or chart bar.
Use its tabs to inspect the month by category:

- Labor.
- Project MRR.
- Agreement MRR.
- Other revenue categories when available.
- MRR changes when available.
Common actions:
